So what is Success and what does it look like for you?

Well, success is different for everyone but in the main we mostly measure success in monetary terms.   The more money someone has the more successful they must be, right? Well, this isn’t necessarily the case. You could have all the money in the world but you’re nowhere near being happy or content.  Now, that doesn’t sound very successful to me.

It was once said that the lonely rich King in his kingdom of wealth wants for all that the poor peasant has outside with his family.

The true meaning of success is ‘the accomplishment of an aim or purpose’.  A person becomes successful by committing to, believing in and being persistent in pursuit of their goals and dreams.  Again, this looks different for different people.

Your aim or goal in life may be completely targeted at living in the present moment and enjoying every second with your loved ones, and there is no financial interest, and you looked back at the end of your life and saw that you had engaged and connected with everyone close to you on a deep level, would you see yourself as successful? I’m pretty sure you would.

Successful Peoples Main Drive…

Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.  There is no mention of financial value in there.

For the most ‘successful’ people, their main drive should not be financial return, but how they can serve others.  The financial return is simply a bi product of that service.  Success, in the higher brackets of achievement, is something that can only be had by taking others along with you.

In my opinion, the best definition of success, was from Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich and that is “Success is the knowledge to get whatever you want from life without violating the rights of others and by helping others to acquire it”

Now, why is success important in life?

Success provides confidence, security, a sense of well-being, the ability to contribute at a greater lever, hope and leadership.  Without success, you, your group, your goals and dreams could cease to survive.

What are you going to do about achieving your success? Success begins with definiteness of purpose.  Be definite about what your major desire are in life, whether that be circumstance, position or thing which you are willing to accept as your idea of success and be precise about what you intend to give in return for that which you desire most from life. Then start where you stand right now to begin giving and believe that it is achievable.
